We are pleased to present this new edition of our Québec Culture brochure, featuring a host of exciting Québec shows and events programmed in the UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries during this Winter-Spring season.
Our new brochure is out! As you will see, there will be plenty of occasions to enjoy the richness, dynamism and diversity of Québec culture in the coming months. This is a great opportunity to begin the celebrations relating to the 60th anniversary of the Québec Government Office in the United Kingdom.
Our Agent-General, Line Rivard says: "In 2022, the Québec Government Office in London will celebrate its 60th anniversary. What a thrilling moment to come into office as the new Agent-General! I’m looking forward to get to know better the large and exciting territory where we represent Québec and to discover its cultural and artistic scene."
Québec culture always has a special place in the programming of TV5 Monde. This season, don't miss their huge selection of films and series from la Belle Province. Did you know that you can now watch French-language videos anywhere, anytime, for free? With the TV5MONDEplus application, enjoy free Québec movies & series, with subtitles! Download the app!
In November, COP26 took place in Glasgow. 2022 will also surely have a sustained focus on the environment and sustainable development. Agent-General, Line Rivard also says: "Moreover, the cultural and artistic community is keenly aware of these challenges: many artists and organisations are proposing solutions to reduce their carbon footprint, rethinking their operations or are creating works that provoke public reflection. In collaboration with the Scottish Government, our Cultural Service is organising a series of online discussions between Québec and Scottish artists and organisations on these current topics. The first discussion took place on the 10th November, and more will be hosted in 2022. On pages 4 to 11 you will find a selection of exciting initiatives."
The cultural team remain, more than ever, at your disposition to support you in your projects and goals of collaboration with Québec artists and organisations. Please do not hesitate to get in touch. “The cultural team would be thrilled to hear from you about any ideas or plans that you may have to collaborate with Québec artists, or to answer any questions you may have.” Says Line Rivard.
We sincerely hope you will get a chance to catch some of these extraordinary shows and exhibits.
More details about these exciting cultural events will be published on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, so join us and stay tuned!
