A life dedicated to art is revealed from childhood by the manifestation of an exceptional talent for drawing. After a career in advertising of more than 25 years, he devotes himself entirely to his personal creation, since 1988. Marcel Mussely is an inveterate observer and lover of nature. His drawing books are full of detailed sketches that support his photographic references, all of which are equally studied. He uses a refined palette and a minimum of color to compose his creations directly on the canvas by applying oil layer upon layer.

He is a signatory member of the Institute of Figurative Arts (IAF) since 2004. In 2013, he was recognized as an academician within the International Academy of Fine Arts of Quebec (AIBAQ).
