Lèvres Bleues by Philippe Hamelin in the Casino LuxembourgDélégation générale du Québec à Bruxelles Luxembourg Wednesday, October 30, 2019 to Thursday, December 12, 2019
Lèvres Bleues is Philippe Hamelin's latest computer graphics animation. The project is interested in the use of computer-generated images as a reconstruction tool and applies them to the reconstruction of a loving memory. The story is based on a collection of testimonies of strangers approached on dating sites by the artist in 2008. Remembrance takes shape through matter, objects, movement and senses. The animation parallels the mechanisms of the machine and the human while exploring the workings of narrative mechanics. The inner movement of the human (feelings) intersects with movement in space.
