On April 7, the Gouvernement du Québec unveiled its 2011-2020 action plan for electric vehicles. Québec has already taken first steps towards promoting the use of electricity in transportation, but its very first action plan for electric vehicles includes a series of new measures that go even further.
Sam Hamad, Minister of Transport and Minister responsible for the Capitale Nationale region, met with key politicians and businesspeople in the New York State capital, Albany, on March 15. American private aviation company NetJets has agreed to purchase 50 twin-engine business jets. The order valued at $2.8 billion covers the entire four-model Bombardier Global family. The agreement also includes options for an additional 70 aircraft. Global aircraft were chosen because of their performance, capabilities, and cabin features.
