The Americana 2009 International Environmental Technology Trade Show is a world class event that promotes technical, scientific and commercial exchanges in the various environmental sectors. Nearly 10,000 participants from Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Asia are expected to attend the Show’s 8th edition taking place from March 17 to 19 at Montréal’s Palais des congrès.
Americana offers a broad range of high calibre international scientific and multidisciplinary presentations and attracts a large number of exhibitors. This biennial event seeks to be a forum for sharing knowledge and expertise that can lead to economic and environmental solutions for current problems.
In addition to fostering technological advances, the Show provides exhibitors and visitors with an array of business and partnership opportunities, particularly through the International Business Matchmaking Forum, a networking service available to participants.
Nearly 40% of Americana’s participants are decision-makers – CEOs, presidents and professionals. Over 30% work in the public sector, including municipalities, and are responsible for developing foreign markets and implementing new regulations. Every sector of the environmental industry will be represented: water, residual materials, environmental management, climate change, soil and groundwater, sustainable development and renewable energy.
Americana is an initiative of RÉSEAU environnement, a non-profit organization with over 2,000 members – companies, municipalities, and government and para-public agencies. The Government of Québec provides support for this event.
