The day started with a discussion co-hosted by the California Chamber of Commerce: “What’s Next? The Future of Trade Policy in North America”. Speakers were Brandon Lee, consul general of Canada in San Francisco, Andrew Grant, president and CEO of the Northern California World Trade Center and Pedro Noyola, former undersecretary of trade and foreign investment and undersecretary of finance of Mexico, and representative of Mexico in various trade negotiations.
They also had productive discussions about the Quebec-California relation in the office of Governor Jerry Brown. The day ended with a reception celebrating the long-standing Canada-California relationship at the Friends of Canada Sacramento Reception 2017.
