The Quebec Delegation of Los Angeles was proud to sponsor and to participate in the 2016 Short Fest event held in Palm Springs, CA. This event, featuring an amazing variety of short films from 47 different countries, was held from June 21st to 27th.

Among the 328 short films viewed at the international festival, four films brought a spotlight to Quebec’s cinema industry. The four films from Québec that were part of the 2016 ShortFest program were: Overpass (from Patrice Laliberté), Mobilize (from Caroline Monnet), La Voce (from David Uloth) winner of several festival awards including Best Short Film, and finally The Guy From Work (from Jean-François Leblanc).
To celebrate the strong francophone presence at this international film festival, a reception entitled C’est si bon! was held Saturday, June 25th attracting an amazing crowd of people from the cinema industry. Gourmet foods and a spectacular DJ performance were in place to embellish the evening. The francophone sponsors of this event, Belgium, France, Quebec, Switzerland and TV5 Monde, once again co-organized this amazing event that has been enjoyed by festival participants for many years.
