Seven Québec films were selected for the 2013 Palm Springs International ShortFest, the United States’ largest short film festival, held from June 18 to 24.
The 19th edition of the festival presented more than 300 films from some 40 countries. The program also included a film market for international buyers, featuring over 3,000 titles.
Jury Award for Best Documentary Short
Québec director Jason Lee took home the Jury Award for Best Documentary Short, for his film Letters from Pyongyang. The documentary tells the personal story of the filmmaker and his father, who travel across the divided Korean peninsula, from South to North, in search of their family's past.
