This year, the Palm Springs International ShortFest, the largest short film festival in the United States, presented nearly 330 films after a selection of at least 3,000 films submitted.
Seven Quebec films have been selected and the documentary from Québec director Jason Lee, "Letters from Pyongyang," won the jury prize for best documentary.
Also, the French director based in Montreal, Guillaume Blanchet, has won the "audience favorite animated short" for "A Girl Named Elastika."
The Québec Government Office in Los Angeles was a partner of the event.
