A record breaking 33 Quebec companies will participate in the upcoming Game Developer Conference held annually in San Francisco, California, March 26 – 29, 2013. The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the world's largest and longest-running professionals-only game industry event and it brings together the international community of game developers, publishers and related technology and service companies involved in developing electronic games.
Nine Quebec companies will exhibit in the GDC portion of the exposition with an additional four companies exhibiting either on the main expo floor or in the career pavilion. The remaining companies will be present to participate in the conference and meet with potential partners and clients.
One of the Quebec developers, Cyanide Studios awarded a “Best in Play” recognition that places their game in a showcase of GDC Play's finest games in advance of the conference. Only 8 developers were honored with this award in 2013.
Quebec's participation to the GDC is organised by the Quebec Government Office in Los Angeles and Export Quebec.
