SIGGRAPH (short for Special Interest Group on GRAPHics and Interactive Techniques) is the premier international event on computer graphics and interactive techniques with more than 20,000 professional participants annually. SIGGRPAH 2012 will take place this year in Los Angeles from August 6 – 9. Under the auspices of the Montreal Chapter of ACM Siggraph, more than 16 visual effects studios, technology companies, research centers and training organizations will participate as exhibitors in the event.

The Quebec Delegation is working with many of these companies to prepare for their participation at SIGGRAPH 2012 and to reach out to U.S. studios and other potential partners. A networking reception is planned to highlight Quebec’s strength in this industry and to promote partnerships between companies in California and in Quebec. Co-sponsoring this reception in partnership with ACM Montreal Siggraph are the Canadian Consulate – Los Angeles, Investissement Québec and Montréal International.
