On June 23rd, the Quebec Delegation in Los Angeles celebrated Québec’s day by organizing a networking event that brought together Quebecers and its most important business, political and cultural contacts from different sectors, particularly in the entertainment industry. The Delegation is very active in these sectors as well as in the climate change related sectors, such as sustainable transportation.
The event was an opportunity for the Quebec representative in Los Angeles, Alain Houde, to note the continued interest of Quebec in Western United States, as evidenced by the presence of a Quebec Delegation in Los Angeles since 1970. He also thanked all participants for their collaboration on many projects with Quebec over the last year.
The delegate highlighted the common interests of Quebec and its U.S. partners on many issues, including the forthcoming carbon market agreement between Quebec and California. Then the Delegate used this forum to highlight the Plan Nord, the importance of this project for Quebec's economic development and the opportunities it creates.
