We are pleased to announce the launch of a joint initiative sponsored by SUNY Plattsburgh, McGill University, the Quebec Ministry of International Relations, and the American Council for Quebec Studies, focusing on three related efforts: a call for papers; the convening of a colloquium; and, the publication of edited essays in the journal Quebec Studies.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
This memo is an official call for scholarly essays on any and all topics featuring significant Quebec content. Papers can be from any academic discipline, must present original research and must not have been previously published. Selected submissions will be included as part of the November 2012 colloquium. Revised selected contributions from the colloquium will be featured as a special dossier in a regular issue of the journal Quebec Studies, dedicated to focusing on the scholarship of new academics working on Quebec-focused research in the United States.
The deadline for this proposal is May 31st, 2012.
The colloquium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sarasota, Florida and will include a full-day of proceedings, including paper presentations, peer review and discussion on Wednesday, November 7th.
