On January 26, 2012, global digital French-language network TV5MONDE and Dish Network LLC launched the first ever French-language channel called "Tivi5MONDE" devoted to children’s programming in the U.S.

Tivi5MONDE will offer the best of French-language programming including animation, education and dramatic series targeting tweens and young teens.

This launch is part of TV5MONDE's mission to promote French culture and French language throughout the world.

It will be offered to Dish subscribers as part of its French package, includes TV5MONDE USA—a 24/7 French entertainment channel. The package is available for $19.99 per month.
