Congratulations to Québec brewers and micro-brewers!! Breweries and micro-breweries from Québec won 10 awards at the prestigious World Beer Awards 2011.
Unibroue, a brewery from Chambly, Québec, took seven prizes home amongst which world’s best standard pale ale with the Blonde De Chambly, world’s best fruit wheat beer with the Ephemere Cassis (Black Currant), world’s best spiced wheat beer with the Blanche De Chambly, best amber pale ale with the Maudite, best blonde / golden pale ale with La Fin Du Monde, best flavoured dark ale with the Quelque Chose, and best strong wheat beer with the Don De Dieu.
The artisanal brewery Le Trou du Diable won best abbey / trappist pale ale with La Buteuse and best strong dark dark ale with La Grivoise de Noel.
La Voie Maltée, a micro-brewery from Québec won world’s best seasonal pale ale with their Graincheuse.
