The very first edition of the Aero & Auto Advanced (AAA) Supplier Summit took place in St Louis, MO from October 8th through 10th. This event brought together companies in the innovative manufacturing space specialized in the automotive and aerospace sectors.

The Québec Government Office in Chicago (DQC) recently attended the 2019 Arts Midwest Conference in Minneapolis, MN. For over three decades now, the Conference has allowed thousands of artists, managers, and agents; performing arts presenters/venues; and arts administrators from throughout the United States and beyond to meet, exchange and inspired each other.
June was an important month for the protection of water in the Midwest and the provinces near the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River. At the 19th Annual Conference of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, several proposals were made and adopted in Action Plan 2030 to protect the Great Lakes.
The Pride Month 2019 edition began in Boystown! On June 22 and 23, Kerith W. Iverson and Martin Dionne from the Québec Offices in Chicago (DQC) joined Pride Montreal for the 19th Pride Fest in Chicago. They were accompanied by more than 100,000 people to celebrate LGBTQ + life, culture and community.
Cooperation between Quebec and the Midwest drone industries is taking flight. In April-May 2019, a mission of 9 of the top organizations representing Quebec’s unmanned aerial system (UAS) sector touched down in Chicago at the occasion of the AUVSI Xponential conference. AUVSI Xponential is the benchmark event for the North American drone industry, attracting more than 8,500 visitors and 700 exhibitors annually.
This month the Government Office of Québec in Chicago and Export Québec partnered with Chicago’s Merchandise Mart in order to put on a special edition of the Stylemax apparel market. Attendees of the Mart’s April Stylemax show were invited to take part in a number of initiatives organized around the Montréal Collections network of fashion, footwear, and accessories designers.
Since April 29, 2019, the Québec Government Office in Chicago (DQC) has welcomed a new intern Mr. Kevin Fleury-Filteau to his team. Mr. Fleury-Filteau will support the DQC as an Officer in Public and Economic Affairs until July 12, 2019.
From November 11th to 13th, 2018, the Delegation of Quebec in Chicago (DQC) participated in North America’s largest private label food and beverage show alongside around 30 exhibiting companies from Quebec. The week prior, around a dozen companies also made the trip from Quebec to Illinois for a “Taste of Canada”, a gourmet B2B event successfully organized by the Consulate General of Canada in Chicago in collaboration with provincial partners, including the Quebec Delegation in Chicago and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPAQ)’s Market Access Office. Quebec’s Chicago Office was represented by Molly Bañuelos, Commercial Attaché for the Food and Beverage sector.

From October 20 through the 22nd, 2017, the Government of Quebec took part in the Leadership Summit of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Governors and Premiers (GSGP) in Detroit (MI) and Windsor (ON). The Quebec delegation included the Minister of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Transport Electrification, André Fortin, and the Head of the Quebec Government Office in Chicago, Jean-François Hould.

More than 2,700 exhibitors gathered at this year’s Private Label Manufacturer’s Association show in Chicago.
